about
Armed with a sitar and a synthesiser, Psychederek, an already established Balearic mountaineer takes us on a cosmic hike with his latest single “At the Mountain of Madness”.
The track is lead by a hypnotic repeating sitar line, with added weight from a tight 4 to the floor drum groove and a seriously deep bassline which guarantees a bone shaking rumble on the dance floor.
“At the Mountain of Madness” recreates the baggy madchester sound pioneered by bands such as “The Happy Monday’s” but brings the sound up to date with a much harder hitting electronic back beat.
Whether the mountain of madness is a dystopian metaphor for the modern world, or simply a place created to make listeners question what true sanity is, Psychederek leaves this question unanswered.
“At the Mountain of Madness” is available for purchase and free streaming on all digital platforms from Friday 28th May.

Given the quality of Peza's music it didn't take much convincing to subscribe. Every track on this is a belter - 'Our Lips Are Sealed' is nothing short of genius and shows a genuine love for the original (which is one of my favourite FB3 tracks) Esteban (Black Light Disco)
